Executive Director (Part-Time)

Job Overview

We are looking to hire an Executive Director to lead and manage the Institute for Marketplace Theology. The executive director will be responsible for setting the vision and overseeing operations, finances, programs, staff, and volunteers. They drive strategic planning, fundraising, and stakeholder relationships to achieve the organization’s mission and goals.

Job Responsibilities

Agent of the Chairman of the Board

  • Vision Holder and Sharer - Maintain and ensure that the vision is understood by all in the IMT community and continually reinforce that in meetings, newsletters, etc.

  • Trust builder - With and among the community, especially the Global Leadership Team and the Board

Regional Supporter

  • Support Current IMT Regions - Proactive in building confidence with Region Leaders and supporting the good work they are doing

  • Develop New Regions - Identify individuals around the globe who would be good candidates to create a new region and support them in doing that

Fellows Groups

  • Support and maintain integrity of the global Fellows groups

  • Global strategy, standards, resources to support Fellows groups in all regions

  • Strategy to brand deep life-on-life training in the integration of faith and work

Senior Fellows

  • Work with Senior Fellows team in creating "deep" theology of work content

Administration

  • Finances

    • Support unincorporated Regions

    • Develop standards for incorporated Regions

    • Fund raising with Chairman of the Board as the Board directs

  • Operations

    • Messaging, marketing, and communication

    • IT

    • Strategy and follow through on IMT programs

    • Retreats and Executive meetings (Board, GLT, Sr. Fellows, etc.)

  • Partnerships

    • Create vision for how to expand the influence of IMT while safeguarding our core mission

    • Working to strengthen existing partnerships and start new ones

Need to Have

  • Proven work experience as an Executive Director or in senior management

  • Servant heart

  • Experience and Passion for faith and work integration and Marketplace Theology

  • Proven success working with a board of directors

  • Entrepreneurial mindset

  • Team player who can be the public face of an organization

Nice to Have

  • Strong experience in marketing and fundraising

  • Experience managing budgets

  • Exceptional verbal, written, and visual communication skills

  • Master’s or Doctorate degree

Working Schedule

  • Work from home

  • Flexible hours

  • 8 hours per week

  • Sub-contractor position
